You Need Sleep

Now that you're living Tiny, it's time to Rest and Relax!
The whole point of living in a Tiny Home is to simplify your life and free yourself from the rat race struggle.  With few bills and no mortgage or rent to worry about you will sleep peacefully.  Here are some ideas for creating a comfy nest for a satisfying nap or for your 7 to 9 hours of deep rest.

BEDDING, MATTRESS & TOPPER

This affordable, light weight, TOP QUALITY memory foam mattress comes in all sizes and is versatile.  It is SUPER COMFORTABLE, breathes and stays cool.  It's about 4.5 inches thick.  The 3 year warranty, quality construction and near perfect rating on Amazon convinced me to buy this mattress.  Its convenient size made it a perfect fit to put sideways in my Stealth Van.  I put a 2 inch gel topper on mine.  TOTAL satisfaction!

This 2 inch thick gel topper is SO plush and soft.  It has a 3 year warranty and near perfect rating on Amazon and costs less than $50 -- I was all in!  It can also be trimmed around the edges for a custom fit.  I sleep so deeply, and peacefully these days.

I bought 2 of these light weight sleeping bags by Coleman.  They're between $25 to $45 each.  Seriously!  This is dirt cheap, but the construction quality is GREAT...they have a nearly perfect score on Amazon.  I have one rated for 40 degrees F and one rated for 30 degrees F.   The Oak Point style is cut roomy for big and tall guys.  That's me!  I also unzip this and use it as a quilt.

This recent winter in Maryland, the temperature often dipped into the teens.  Those nights I made a sleeping bag burrito...putting one bag inside the other bag.  I woke up sweating and laughed.  These sleeping bags are warm!!!  It also helped that I was using a Mr. Heater Buddy propane heater !  During warmer months I put this bag beneath my mattress for more cushiony goodness!

These microfiber fitted bed sheets are smooth, comfortable and durable AND they come in a 6 pack.  Yeah, I buy in bulk!  Cheaper to buy in bulk and discard than to use the coin operated laundromat and reuse.  Go figure!  It comes to about $5 per bed sheet.  The twin size fits perfectly covering my twin mattress and topper.

It's really nice to have a fleece throw blanket around.  They're soft and plush, they breathe yet are cozy.  I have one in my Tiny Home to snuggle in when the Coleman sleeping bags are too much to handle.
