SAFETY
Play safe, and use protection!
I highly recommend installing the following items for your safety and peace of mind. Your Tiny Home is an investment -- so protect your investment.
A top quality smoke / fire detector is a NECESSITY ! I chose First Alert...a well known brand. Always check the manufacturer's date because smoke detectors do go out of date. Change the batteries twice a year with fresh dependable batteries. This device is important if you cook in your Tiny Home or if you have a Mr. Heater Buddy, or anywhere you are sleeping!

This CO (carbon monoxide) detector is TOP RATED. I love how it has a digital readout that shows the CO level. I keep mine mounted at the same level as my head when I'm sleeping in my bed. Any kind of cooking or combustion will generate CO, a poisonous, colorless, odorless gas. Keep your air safe! Get a detector and use fresh dependable batteries that you change twice a year.

Tundra spray is a biodegradable, non toxic fire extinguishing spray in a spray canister. I find it easier to use and handle than a full size fire extinguisher. Additionally any potential fires are going to be small, I'm in a Tiny House after all. Additionally, if there is a fire, the goal is to get out, not try to fight it unless it's small enough to quick extinguish. I've watched a bunch of YouTube videos on this product. It works great and is Top Rated with great reviews!

This Top Rated First Aid kit has received great reviews and is the #1 best seller through Amazon. I love it. I also keep a bottle of Isopropyl Alcohol and a bottle of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide around. I come from a family of medical professionals, and am CPR and SCUBA open water certified. Naturally, a First Aide kit is a MUST ! Buy your Isopropyl and Peroxide at a local drug store FOR CHEAP!
Hand Sanitizer is a Must! Any type of cooking (handling raw meats), or use of a toilet (camping toilet / composting toilet) means possible germ contamination. Keep some pump sanitizer around to stay clean and sanitary!

These latex-free nitrile gloves are so useful when handling germy items or changing out the bag on my camper toilet. I also wear them when disconnecting the hose to my propane tank. Often the fitting for hoses are brass and have a small amount of lead mixed in. I don't want lead residue on my hands. I also wear these types of gloves all day at work. They are thin, comfortable and barely noticeable when worn properly.
