WE ARE CIVILIZED PEOPLE AFTER ALL, REFRIGERATION IS A MUST!
After researching a bunch of 12 Volt refrigerator / freezers, I chose the Whynter 45 quart model. Excellent reviews combined with good features AND Amazon has a refurbished / discount section. I got my Whynter refer for about $80 less than retail. It has a small dent in the front, yet it works awesomely...I set mine at 27 degrees F and it freezes. It can be set all the way down to 0 degrees F. This unit has a extremely quiet compressor, modestly sips electricity, has never drained my solar batteries and has a low voltage detector--meaning that if it detects the solar batteries are run too low it auto shuts off. I love it !!

What I like about this microwave is that it is simple and straightforward. It is also a 600 watt unit. I try to keep all my appliances below 1000 watts so as not to drain my solar batteries too much--especially when I operate the unit at night. This "wave" is simple to use, has low power consumption and is dirt cheap with good reviews!

O.K. this Nutri-Ninja is about the best device ever, no joke! I have a smoothie every morning before going to work. Dino Kale, Parsley, Celery, frozen Pineapple, Hemp protein powder and Banana. This unit draws 1000 watts which is a lot but since I use it early in the day, the sun easily replentishes the energy I pull from the batteries. I've owned other Ninja products before--total satisfaction !! Healthy smoothies will change your life!

This Induction hot plate is so cool. It uses electromagnetic energy to heat the cooking pan. Since it runs off electricity it is completely solar powered in my Tiny Home. It draws close to 1000 watts so I use it early in the day (like to cook lunch) so I still have plenty of daylight to recharge my solar batteries. If you go with this unit remember, you HAVE to use a magnetic cook pan...like a cast iron skillet.

As a backup I use this no-nonsense Coleman camping butane cooking stove. It runs off cans of compressed butane fuel (like what's in a cigarette lighter). When using this stovetop keep plenty of ventilation active in your Tiny Home as the burning of Butane or Propane creates Carbon Monoxide as a by-product. This is the closest thing to cooking over natural gas. As a Chef I am used to cooking over a gas flame.

As a quick reminder, remember to install both a fire / smoke detector AND a
CO / Carbon Monoxide detector if you will be doing any cooking in your Tiny Home.
